Re: Nurses Attack Handicapped Woman
I worked for a nursing home & witnessed a care giver abusing some of the residents.,I complained to the supervisor and she did nothing. She was fired like a year later for abusing the residents and now she works for another facility even though its on her record showing why she got fired.

Re: Nurses Attack Handicapped Woman
You'd be surprised what goes on in some of these places. I am sure the majority of nurses and carers are decent people though. When my mother worked in a nursing home you wouldn't believe the tales she came home with regarding cruelty towards patients. This was way back in the Seventies. Mind you some of the patients were difficult and I sometimes wonder if the staff just suffer severe stress and occassionally lose the plot. Others are just evil and shouldn't be doing a job like that at all. I would have hoped times had changed but abuses still occur even today. It is so sad. |
