Re: Nurses Attack Handicapped Woman
When my father was in a nursing home after his stroke, I went to visit him and walked in on a nurse screaming at him because he spilled something. I didn't see anything, but I suspected abuse as she was leaning over him and he was cowering. I grabbed her by the arm and dragged her outside, not just out of his room, but out of the building. I told her to leave or I was going to call the cops. She got fired. Thankfully, the rest of the staff at that facility were kind and he died with dignity a year later at the age of 84. Still, when I see shit like this, it touches a nerve with me.

Re: Nurses Attack Handicapped Woman
My great nan was in a nursing home. We turned up one day to find her crying because she wanted to go the toilet. I went up to the desk and said "my nan wants the toilet..she's crying". They got up and bought over a bed pan...she got even more distressed...i said "no she wants to go to the actual toilet...i'll walk her myself if you can't be bothered"...the nurse looked at me with such disgust. My nan wanted to retain her dignity and go to the toilet while she was still able to use her legs. She also fell out of bed at this place |
