I don't want to sound rude here but the sex change operation should have been denied in the first place as a result of the bad treatment by the mother. This girl needed psychiatric help and no penis.

I thought you needed a psychiatric evaluation to get a sex change. Assuming that's the case (and I'm not sure now  ), the psychiatrist should never have cleared this. A cursory overview of Nathan's upbringing would reveal the severe, ongoing psychological trauma and the obvious way it's tangled up with gender dysphoria.
