nothing has ever happened between my toes before. usually the swelling etc happens below the toenail (it either looks like a round red bump, or the whole toe will have swelling). I usually wear uggs when it is cold, and sandals etc when it is warm.

durt, I have never gone to the doctor about this. it has always gone away on its own after a short period of time, so I figured it was just a reaction to cold weather. there is a doctors office just down the street from my house and I'll be going by next week.

to update: here is the most recent picture of my left foot, taken yesterday, that I just uploaded. notice 4 things: the redness under my big toe's nail, the fucked up toenail next to that, the red/white bump above the next toenail, and the spot on my pinky toe. that toe recently became very swollen and sensitive, and as the swelling/pain went away, a little round ulcer-like spot appeared. you can also see that the toe next to my pinky is discolored and "fat" looking.

Do you wear tight fitting shoes? Also it looks like you cut or pick your toe nails off too short, correct me if I am wrong , just an observation. I have a tendancy to pick or clip MY toes nails too short sometimes, and as a roofer the heat on a roof can cause my feet to sweat and infect the toes clipped too short.

I keep them short but IRL you can see that they aren't cut inappropriately short. maybe the toenails on my big toes are. they also grow very slowly. as for shoes, I don't have any that are too tight. there are a couple pairs that I sometimes can't wear if my ~condition~ is particularly bad, but they would not be considered tight otherwise.

wow- looks uncomfortable :( try washing your feet with anti dandruff shampoo daily and applying Monistat (yes actual Monistat for vaginal yeast infections) to them every night after washing them and allow them to air dry. Urinating on your feet also helps with infections. Sound nuts i Know but it worked for many of my former military patients!! Good luck!
