Re: Mother Keeps Dead Baby in a Box?
A fetus, at least in my state, is not considered human remains until very late along in a pregnancy. My baby was tiny, about the size of my thumb. We buried him in a rose garden where people would not be walking. Cremation of a human embryo would be costly, as it is considered medical waste. Burial in a cemetery is also a very high cost we could not justify. We considered exhuming my baby when my grandfather died six weeks later, so they could be buried together, but neither my husband nor I could bring ourselves to actually do it. I suppose if doing what brought me the most comfort and consolation as a grieving mother, who after 5 years of trying to conceive lost her only child before she met him makes me a dumbass then a dumbass I proudly am. Does it make you feel good to call people names on the interwebs? |

Call me old fashion, but i believe that some things are too personal for the internet...this being one. She could have left out the picture and got her point across with her message only. SMH
