I see people like that all the time. They chose to be users and dont care about anything, but getting high. Its too bad. She said she was 40. Im sure she has had plenty of opportunity to get things sorted, but returns to the same lifestyle without fail. She's probably shooting her meth with a old, used TB syringe. Tweakers like to pick at scabs constantly. Dirty staphylococcus infected hands, crystal meth, and poor hygiene = nasty cellulitis!! |

She looks and is acting like she mainlined way too much. A benzodiazepine (used to control the involuntary limb jerking and agitation) + a neuroleptic (which would antagonize (stop) the massive release of dopamine which is what is happening in her head and nervous system in the video - it would compete with the methamphetamine for receptors and the neuroleptic usually always has stronger binding affinity, therefore it would knock the meth off of them) would have her limp as a fish.

Methamphetamine short-circuits a person's survival system by artificially stimulating the reward center, or pleasure areas in the brain. This leads to increased confidence in meth and less confidence in the normal rewards of life. This happens on a physical level at first, then it affects the user psychologically. The result is decreased interest in other aspects of life while reliance and interest in meth increases. In one study, laboratory animals pressed levers to release methamphetamine into their blood stream rather than eat, mate, or satisfy other natural drives. The animals died of starvation while giving themselves methamphetamine even though food was available.

I don't really feel bad for her. BUT this is the type of video they need to show kids in school when they do the drug programs. Bet that would keep a LOT of people from doing meth!  |
