Re: Meth Addict Claws Her Own Skin Off - Disgusting Smelly Wound
Amphetamine psychosis Amphetamines, typically when abused heavily and/or chronically, are well-known to cause psychosis in individuals. The amphetamines include amphetamine, methamphetamine, methcathinone, etc. A 2007 article[citation needed] examined the limited amount of documentation and research currently available on methamphetamine-induced psychotic syndromes. In nearly every case, the symptoms of methamphetamine-induced psychosis (as well as stimulant psychosis in general) will stop within 7–10 days of discontinuing the drug, however, in some cases discontinuation symptoms have been reported to last for months. Furthermore, a small percentage of long-term or "heavy" users will continue experiencing intermittent psychotic episodes (experiencing hallucination, delusions, and/or paranoia) on an ongoing basis within the first year of abstinence.[2] Although not common, these users offer some anecdotal evidence about the neurotoxicity of long-term methamphetamine use, and the healing process that a user experiences when these neurotoxic effects are either partially or fully reversed. Spontaneous and long-term recurrences (akin to "flashbacks") are hypothesized to be triggered (or exacerbated) by high stress and by sleep deprivation. In extremely rare cases, this condition is documented to persist beyond one year. The key distinction between this condition and e.g. a psychotic disorder or schizophrenia, is that the symptoms of a methamphetamine-induced psychotic disorder are not considered to be permanent and will eventually subside with abstinence and proper treatment... ...AND she has a bad case of the pickin pox... |

I was gonna say the same thing, but my wife said that it was too nasty of a thing to say. Hell, I thought it was a good idea, and apparently, I'm not the only one! Just shoot her and put her outta her misery. Maybe she'll do better the next time around. |

i never got that far. but i did pick. towards the end it looked like i had chicken pox. and yes. meth is both mentally and physically addictive. if you don't think it is, then just experiment with it a while and get back to me on it. |

Re: Meth Addict Claws Her Own Skin Off - Disgusting Smelly Wound
i can be both sad and frustrated/angry. nothing is worse than an addict who had cleaned up, i think we have little patience for those who won't. i understand them, but i find it frustrating that they don't want to try harder to get clean. i mean i wanted to be clean so damn bad, i kept fighting for it. i fell back a lot, but i kept getting up and trying again. i work hard at not being a judgmental bitch.

i feel sorriest for the kids. you lose everything when your parent is that fucked up. i was and am good parent, but i could have been so much better back then. i am grateful that my children love me, and forgive me those years.
