Those intestines don't look healthy. The number of worms packed in there has really distended them and portions have possibly lost adequate circulation.

Oh, and to the people saying it was rude or disturbing to hear the surgical team laughing - it goes on all the time. I've interned in both human and veterinary ORs, and the surgeons and surgical techs/nurses engage in small talk, joke, and even listen to the radio all the time. I love this video, by the way. I didn't find it gross because I've witnessed similar stuff in person. You don't know how satisfying it is to remove an obstruction, whether it be worms or hair bands. |
