Hope you are doing better, as I had a mini stroke a couple of years ago. Kinda shakes you up when it happens!

Re: I Had A Big Scare - A Stroke or Fit??

Well I hope you feel better really soon. That would be a very scary thing to happen. After I broke my neck in 2001 every time I lay down the world spun and spun like I was in a tornado. VERY unnerving. I had to have people "ground" me by holding my hand very tightly until the room stopped going round. Led to some funny events, especially with other men being asked to hold my hand. I did not care. Anyway, take care, keep us posted, and have a SPEEDY recovery.

I have had similar episodes.

Remember, we are never in control.

All we ever have is the illusion of control.

I am learning to just let go and enjoy the adventure of it all.

Off into the complete unknown.

I should learn to just hold tight and enjoy the white-knuckle ride

That's funny mate

Sharon, I hope your visit goes okay and you get good news.

Were you getting plenty of sleep prior to that spell you had?
I always have broken sleep patterns due to chronic pain and nightmares

Had real bad dizzy spells, like the room was spinning, really unerving! Walking was even worse, like the floor was tilting back and forth, fell flat on my face! Have not had them for a few years now, just migranes every now and then!

Re: I Had A Big Scare - A Stroke or Fit??

my sister had something similar happen. couldnt talk right, could do things right with her hand, felt disoriented and very strange...it scared the crap out of her. the took her to the er and did tests and what not (cat scan included) and it all came back negative and they dx'ed it as migraine symptoms. migraines have been shown to sometimes have similar symptoms as a stroke.

hope all this well with ya
