Re: Gas Combustion Inside Car Burning Occupants
I was under the impression that nitrous oxide was highly flammable? I mean, they add it to race engines right? Or am I just being ignorant here? I'm genuinely curious.

Re: Gas Combustion Inside Car Burning Occupants
I think it must have been helium, not nitrous oxide. I used to work in a dental surgery and administered nitrous oxide many times. It's a non flammable compound, and at dental offices the setup will have two tanks, one is oxygen and one is nitrous. They have to be at a certain level to prevent overdosing. It's also used on cars to increase engine power by oxidizing. Helium is flammable though and its also abused recreationally. My bets are on helium because unless these kids knew where to buy nitro or had a license to purchase nitrous oxide its highly unlikely. Helium on the other hand is much easier to get a hold of.
