Looks like water logging over a prolonged period of time with complete failure to change socks and or shoes at any time either resulting in something akin to trenchfoot. Get it bad enough and you can push your fingers through the mush that was your foot....

Looks like gangreen, maybe diabetic and theyve put maggots on to eat the dead flesh away, as the maggots eat they release a liquid thta heals the area to stop bleeding etc, hospital in the uk are bringing this method back in, same with leaches
