1- that line tied to the hook doesn't look strong enough to hold any fish bigger than the hook itself. unless it is a new nano technology titanium zirconium radioactive line :P
2- how the fuck can anybody injure himself like that? i mean it' not like the hook went through the skin between his thumb and finger, looks like he held the skin up himself and somebody pushed the hook through.
3- that shit happens all the time with smaller hooks if you're a newbie or careless. would never go to the hospital unless it was in my eye or pressscioussssss.
4- that bandage is simply overkill for such an injury.

so i would say the angler, his friends and the doctors were probably all drunk. :)
