For daring to lick soup in the pot, a 33-year-old man, Mr. Solarin Muyiwa has poured hot water on his daughter's privates, damaging part of her vagina in the process.

Giving the level of injury, the 14-year-old girl (name withheld) underwent treatment at a government hospital in Lagos while her father was arrested by the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry of Woman Affairs.

The incident, which took place at 3, Adeyiga Street, Ikorodu, had been attracting lots of unsavoury comments against Mr. Solarin, a Laboratory Assistant at Spintex Mill.

“The incidence took place two Fridays ago, but a concerned neighbour who saw the state of the young girl, put across a distress call to the ministry. We responded immediately and rescued the girl and she is presently being treated in the hospital,” said Mrs. Alaba Fadairo, Director of Child Development in the Ministry.

“We were surprised when we saw the girl. There were deep wounds on her body. Her father poured hot water on her private part. He said she licked soup from the pot. The girl said she was given N50 for the day and that she wanted to test if the soup was hot or not,” she added.

In his reaction, Mr. Solarin had this to say: “I just want to apologise about it. I did it in annoyance. I regret what I did and I just want to apologise... I just wanted to scare her with the water so that she will know the difference between good and bad. I did not know it would result in this. I am very sorry”.

I think all child abusers/killers/rapists and members of Westboro should be publicly stoned, caned, hung upside down, have tree trunks shoved up their asses, tires put around them, covered with flammable liquid and set on fire.
