You can see the section of bone directly under the eye socket that seems to be degenerating. Cancer would seem to be the most likely answer considering the extent of the operation. Malignant cancer of the sinus cavity spreads very rapidly. If that is what it is.

Old lady, short of cash decided to grow mushrooms inside her face, unfortunately the spores took over so she sold her face to a pasta sauce company in July 2010 for approx $800.
