Re: Facial Arteriovenous Malformation, Necrosis, and Exposed Skull.
It was just like touching bone. Although it did give me a weird feeling because I was aware that I was touching my own skull.. The necrosis was a result of the AVM treatment more so than the AVM itself. It sure was an experience, though. It started going purple and mushy, I told my aunt I thought it was necrosis and I should go to the ER, she disagreed and didn't want to take me.. I went, called her from the hospital and said "Yep, my face is rotting off." |

Re: Facial Arteriovenous Malformation, Necrosis, and Exposed Skull.
My stepdaughter was born with a nasty AVM in her brain. She suffered from developmental delays and physical issues. Doctors thought she wouldn't live to see 2 yrs old. She surprised everyone, she learned to walk, talk, etc. She was quite a character. Sadly, she started to decline and at age 15 she died of a brain aneurysm.
