Those are IV catheters. In the first picture you can see the stylet. The stylet is inside the plastic sterile tube. In normal placement you perform venipuncture and advance the plastic part forward, then pull the stylet out. It is then taped in place to adminster IV fluids and drugs. She works in medical or veterinary. They look a little long for dogs and cats and too short for horses. I hope she doesn't have access to any drugs!!!
