Diphallia, Pictures of Men Born With Two Penises
Diphallia, also called penile duplication, is a congenital anomaly in which the glans, part of the penis or the entire penis is duplicated. Its cause is unclear, but it arises early in penile development. It occurs in about 1 in 5.5 million live births, with about 100 cases reported. The condition can occur with duplication or malformation of the urinary tract, bladder, bowel, pelvis, spine or heart. Treatment is individualized according to the anatomy. It may involve removing a nonfunctioning duplicate or joining erectile structures during reconstruction, with the goals of urinary continence, a functional urinary stream, erection and acceptable appearance.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·
