Re: Cat Bite
All animals and even humans can carry diseases and/or parasites that can cause health problems. The only difference with cats is that their teeth are needle like and can penetrate deeply. Even a bite a human can carry tetanus which can become deadly.

Re: Cat Bite
When I was 18-ish, I was hand-raising a pair of kittens & got sick. Thought it was flu at first but when a couple weeks dragged by without improvement my parents made me go to a doctor. I had a 101 temp, swollen glands, the works. Well, the doctor said i needed to see a specialist & called the other MD himself to get me in ASAP. I heard him whispering into the phone, urgently: "She's only 18!" That got me a bit worried. Welp, the specialist looked me over, noticed all the tiny little scratches on my hands from the kittens, & asked, "You have cats?" "Uh-huh." "You have cat scratch fever." Cue me nearly peeing myself in relief (the 1st doc thought I had lymphoma). |

Re: Cat Bite
one way is much more dangerous a cat rarely bites a cat doesn't have huge amounts of power in it's bite, nor a virtual lock jaw a cat doesn't go back for 2nds, and 3rds pit bulls (and other status dogs) do much more damage to humans than cats ever have |
