Re: Bandit Gets Shot Through His Hands As Punishment
Not 100% related, but I hear that in some cases, when one of their own is suspected of being a snitch, certain gangsters/drug runners would shoot the "snitch" in a safe and non-fatal location and apply pressure against the gunshot wound(s) as a torture method to get the "snitch" to 'fess up. Is this common? Hollywood seems to like the idea of this. In "Dirty Harry", Clint Eastwood's trigger-happy cop character shoots the serial-killer suspect in his right leg and tries to coerce him into giving up the location of a young girl he kidnapped. When the killer flat-out denies his involvement in her disappearance, Clint Eastwood squeezes the killer's wound with his right foot and the killer writhes around in agony. I figured this "torture method" would be commonplace, but I wasn't sure because I have yet to see any videos here depicting this. Maybe it's not fashionable in Brazil or Mexico, but is in the US. |
