I actually used to know a guy about 10 years ago who cut one of his own testicles out in his bathroom at home. He was a meth addict, full blown amphetamine psychosis. He would stay up for literally weeks at a time. Apparently he started picking at an ingrown hair down there, couldn't get it out, and it turned into an at-home exploratory procedure. I don't know what the hell happened that led to his conclusion that his testicle needed to go. But that's how it ended up.
