Abscessed Raccoon
I am a wildlife rehabilitator and we see a lot of gross stuff, but this case was a raccoon with distemper, which is fatal, on top of the worst abscess I have ever seen. He stunk of infection, and it had eaten all the way into his face. Poor thing. Of course, he was humanely euthanized.

Poor thing, I don't dare to imagine the pain it had to endure  Kudos to you, I don't think I'd be a good wildlife rehabilitator (or a vet or any professional working with animals), I think that kind of job would eventually destroy my mental health.

But nothing should suffer other than pedo's rapist and a few other humans, no animal.
