Bottom line, it isn't murder if it can't sustain life. That's why after 5 months, when a child born outside of the woman can sustain life, it's illegal and no longer can you get an abortion. A FETUS, not a child, a FETUS is not born. A baby has been born. And whether you agree with it or not, at no point in time do you have any right to dictate how others live. How can you get rid of the system just because you think its mainly a bunch of teens who failed to be 'safe'. What about the incest? What about the rape victims? Every time that mother looks at that child, all she'll be able to think of is the rape, and thus end up hating her child. And that life of that child is some how better than ending it before it begins? Bottom, bottom, line: you can't tell people to how to live when it really has nothing to do with you anyways. Plus the emotional burden these women will have to carry far exceeds whatever you think is a just 'punishment'. |

I say yes. Moreso if it's done in the early stages of pregnancy though. We have crap all over the news about overpopulation and why create more life if it is just going to suffer? Say the parents were deadbeats or the child was going to have some sort of health problem that had been predetermined. Like the contraceptive pill is hard to obtain in the first place. Jeesuz. |

I also think that if people like Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Myra Hindley, Ian Brady, Fred and Rose West's and the likes mothers had abortions the world would've been a better place. On the other hand if I was raped and got pregnant, I would keep the baby, just because I love babies and would never blame the child. If I were to choose abortion the baby would have to be proved seriously malformed or something. You never know how any baby born in this world will turn out and not all human life is precious. There's a few I wouldn't give a shit if they were dead. Therefore it is of my opinion, that it is the woman's choice and all the goody two shoes should butt out and let them get on with it. Concentrate on your own life and the people you care about instead of spouting what all others should do with theirs. Fuck I'm glad I got that off my chest...haha.. |

These were all good answers. I don't care what a woman chooses to do with her pregnancy, she's the one who has to live with her decision. It's her choice, someone said we're overpopulated enough, I definitely agree with that.

Think about this - in countries where abortion is illegal, the abortion statistics stay about the same, except they include lots of young women dying painfully and needlessly because from the back-alley procedures etc that they are forced to use by people that seem to care more about potential life that might feel, but certainly aren't aware of their fates, rather than real live women that most definitely think and feel and are more than aware of the horror of their final moments...  |

abortion cannot possibly be wrong in any way, shape or form.... the baby has to be unwanted in order for it to be aborted in the first place...i know babies can be adopted, but imagine finding out you are adopted, tracing your birth mother and finding out that the only thing stopping her from aborting you was the thought that abortion is wrong?? nice. take a moment to think of all the tiny children you have read about in the media who have died due to abuse....would it have been better or worse for those babies to have been aborted? Abortion is never a bad thing.
