Young Woman Found Strangled to Death in Ravine Behind Her House
This 20 year old woman was found dead by a creek in a small ravine behind the house where she lived. She was estimated to have been killed several hours earlier. Her body exhibited multiple signs that are common to death by asphyxiation and the coroner's report concluded that strangulation was the cause of death. Her face was cyanotic, there was extensive bruising around her throat, her nose was bleeding and smeared with mucous, she had bitten her tongue, and she had emptied her bladder and bowels into her jeans. She also had injuries indicative of a struggle, on her hands and forearms. Her shoes and ankles were muddied from walking near the creek, so it is assumed that she was killed on site and not dumped here after being killed elsewhere. The postmortem revealed that she had not been sexually assaulted. Police have detained her boyfriend as part of the investigation and the news indicates that he is a likely suspect due to her trying to break off the relationship.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

I see blood and snot. Once again, whatever it is you think you're seeing, I'm not seeing it. There are a few ants here and there, but nothing I'd remotely consider unusual or extensive.  |

Yes, based on the location and pattern of the stain, as well as the urine staining around it and on her thigh, and also what the report said, I am inclined to agree. The placement of the darker stain would be very awkward for mud. There's no mud anywhere else around it (except on her boots and ankles) so it is unlikely she was dragged or lying on her back and it is too centrally located for it to have been generated by sitting in mud. Doesn't really matter, I guess. She's dead either way. But my guess is dried fecal matter. |
