Young Woman Executed in a Mechanic's Shop
Teenage girl was hanging out in the street near her home with some friends when two men on a motorcycle approached and opened fire at her. The first several shots missed and witnesses reported that she started screaming and ran away in terror to try to hide inside some sort of cabinet in a mechanic's shop nearby. Unfortunately for her, it wasn't a great hiding spot. The assailants saw her go inside, followed her in and executed her with a single shot to the head. They then fled and have not been identified. The girl's sister was shot a few days earlier, though not fatally. Police have indicated that drugs are likely involved. |

Re: Young Woman Executed in a Mechanic's Shop
She wasn't much older than that in the antemortem photos. But they aren't particularly new. She changed her FB account about 2 years ago and I couldn't get into her current one, so had to use photos from 2017. Typically I am of the opinion that 2-year old reference photos are better than none at all. I have several of her relatives' FB accounts in her file, though, so I'll check back periodically to see if one of them happen to post a recent antemortem. |

Or was peeing in fear while hunkered down and trying to hide in/behind the cabinet. Who knows. I've seen urine spread a -lot- of different ways in pants since joining this site. If you look closely, it's under her and on the front of her jeans as well, so chances are that more was coming out after she died. Whatever the case, the poor chica must have been desperate for the loo when they started shooting at her. That's a lotta urine. |

Re: Young Woman Executed in a Mechanic's Shop
Are you saying that the antemortem I supplied is not accurate? I'm not saying you're incorrect. I periodically make mistakes when navigating the extremely convoluted back trails of IDing victims on social media. Especially in MX where about 95% of people don't actually use their real names for FB. But this one was the same name as the victim, same city as the victim, same neighborhood as the victim, same relative age as the victim, and had people mourning the victim in her social network. Which is typically ample criteria for me to use the photo, though not infallible. Now you're here making your second post in 8 years and telling me that I made an error. Which is perfectly acceptable. But not if you're just spouting bullshit. Please PM the accurate social media profile if you think I used the wrong one or provide an accurate photo. I spent about 3 hours last night on this case and added the images with about an 85% certainty. Please feel free to do better. But just popping in here and telling me I used the wrong photo with no data or alternate ID is lame. |
