Re: Young Lady Hanged Herself Yesterday
Dahlia_Neda, I appreciate the thoroughness of your posts. I am a detail-oriented person and I LOVE the attention you place to each story. I am sorry that some twit cannot take the time to fact check her own shit and nick yours, but please do not let that stop you from posting great stuff. |

Oh thank you so much Christy, that's very kind of you. It is gutting when someone takes my threads + pretends they are their own, especially ones that have taken me many hours to do (over several days sometimes). It's a pain when I can't find much info' though, but still, it's great when I can! Thanks again, I'm glad you like my threads. |

Re: Young Lady Hanged Herself Yesterday
At least they're not doing that terrible shit from the late 19th century where parents would dress up their dead baby like it was still alive and take family photos. "Ah, yes. this photograph is from July 4. As you can see, our children are proudly displaying their patriotic fervor. Especially little Annabelle. She's the one you can see there on the left that's a discolored, rotting corpse. We wrapped what was left of her remains in an American flag, as you can see. Unfortunately, the dogs got her when we were engaged with guests. Doesn't she look like she's having the most marvelous time?"

Re: Young Lady Hanged Herself Yesterday
What’s wrong with selfies with the dead? If you’re a selfie person, I mean? It’s dealing with death, and it’s encouraging that the way we do so changes with the way we deal with life. Means we are actually dealing, rather than refusing to do so and shrouding everything in the cloak of stale ritual. I always take lots of pictures when I lose someone. Easier to delete them if I decide I don’t want them than to go back in time if I regret not taking them. The ability to do things like go back and answer questions you might have (“did I remember to get that unruly lock of hair she always fussed about tucked away properly?”) is amazing. Technology changes life AND death, and how we deal with both. |
