When the undertaker came to get her body they put her in the back of an estate car in a body bag which i thought was really disrespectful to her (i mean FFS i could have taken her away in my car) i had to stand behind the car and shout for my husband and his other sister as they wanted to see her go I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Most states/provinces have regulations requiring that a body be transported so that no one else can see there is a body in the vehicle. This is why we use mini vans and Suburbans and such. Legally, a citizen can claim a body, if the morgue will release it, but most vehicle aren't equipped to conceal, and putting a loved in the trunk hardly seems respectful. I hope your sister found peace at last, and I hope that you fond ways to celebrate her life, the better aspects of her time in this world. My best friend killed herself several years ago. She drank 1/2 case of beer, called her ex husband, she said a summer storm is coming, she liked summer storms, he didn't have time to talk to her. She went in her house got a bed sheet, folded it very neatly, and tied it to a low tree branch in her back yard. She then got on her knees, and leaned into it. The medical examiner said it didn't take long for her to lose consciousness. Her live in boyfriend (who was cheating on her) found her when he got home from the bar. She had been dead apx. 2 hours. She left behind a 15 year old son, and a 18 year old daughter. Every time we have a summer storm, its a sad reminder of my best friend.  |
