Interesting case here. Happened in Russia. This young woman was in her 5th floor apartment when her ex-husband and several of his vodka-swilling comrades broke into her house. They tied her up, knocked her around, and started appropriating her possessions. At some point, fearing for her life, she managed to break free from the chair she was taped to and took a header off the balcony to evade them. Unfortunately for her, it was a 5 story drop and she didn't survive the fall.

Apparently the ex had no actual intention of killing her, so he and his buddies panicked when she plummeted to her death. They moved the body to a different location and tried to stage it to look like she was mugged and murdered there.

Obviously, they failed and were caught.
