Re: Woman Gives Up on Life; Eats Entire Pharmacy to Ensure Exit
I like sets like these - it is tragic, but recreating the scene and piecing together the clues from the farthest reaches of a person's despair... you notice how much SE Asian and South American cops mess with the scene. Even in the scene above, the bed is re-arranged several times. The decedent was laying on her face (you can tell by lividity), beside the bed. It's unusual to choose a place to die BESIDE the comfortable place. She has clearly been rolled over after death as well. There is a pair of glasses in the pile of meds. The arms have been bent outward. Impossible to say if the glasses were there before or after the cops arrived. But it is very interesting, and I wager had significance for the decedent. One panel of what I think are cholesterol statins remains nearly untouched. The rectangular object with the 'festive' coating is most likely a closed laptop. Easy to see she dumped her medicine cabinet on the bed, researched the meds online, saw statins are a waste of time, finished, ate the meds, the glasses most likely happened after (had significance for failed relationship?) and then died *beside* the bed. I feel the bed had significance as well. I recall a woman committing suicide after cheating on her husband of 20 years with a co-worker and was caught after accidentally sending the hubby a message meant for the lover. She ODd on pills in the *trunk* of her car, in a lonely rural parking lot. For many, the choice of where to die is the final choice they make. For the woman in the OP, dying beside the bed - like the trunk woman, felt she did not deserve more, maybe. |

was her head a prop in Beetlejuice? she could have spent her money on a final meal and taken the oxy's with some booze. obviously smarts was way down the list from at least 1) kill self 2) do so without sacraficing last shred of dignity (which is how didnt use battery acid in lieu of bug repellant) |

Re: Woman Gives Up on Life; Eats Entire Pharmacy to Ensure Exit
I suppose a lot of overdosed people end up beside their bed if theyre in their bedroom. My mom was snoozin and started to try and turn the lamp on (beside the bed) and fell face down into the floor between the bed and dresser. According to her big fat dumbass husband. Not suicide though. If his account is right she may have known she was oding. Probably was gonna grab the od reversal Med in her purse. This lady here may have got scared or had a change of mind once she felt the meds kicking in.

Re: Woman Gives Up on Life; Eats Entire Pharmacy to Ensure Exit
I have Fibro, and I can tell you, it does make life hard. I was an avid body builder, hiker, and swimmer, then one day came down with what I thought was a hellacious case of the flu-bedridden for 2 weeks with severe muscle cramps. Then I got diagnosed with fibro. A lot of people don't realize it's closely related to Rheumatoid arthritis and is a very real and very painful disease. Whatever her reasons, I hope she is at peace now... |

I also have fibromyalgia. People do have a really hard time understanding the disease. You have good and bad days and sometimes good and bad yeard. The bad days can be really bad and you feel so bad it makes you depressed because you don't feel like doing anything and if you were an active person then you feel bad about that. |
