i've been cut in the fingers with edges of harmless looking slips of paper and it hurt. i can only imagine the pain of snagging a few meters of even a plain kite line in your throat and feel the slicing burn as it travels across your throat at high speed. fighting kites have glue and bits of broken glass on their lines.

I assume those line cutters have hooks on the end with sharp as blade edges inside the curve of the hook. a practical invention designed for their own environment.

paper cuts hurt so much because there is not enough blood to cover the pain receptors that are hit with air so that's why it hurts so much

Received this at the age of 7.. 42 inside stitches 42 outside stitches.. Hand went through window pane.. I did not feel a thing except the feeling of almost going into shock aka a comfortable death.. I actually felt sleepy when my dad was taking me to the hospital.. He was freaking the fuck out and I just wanted to go to sleep but I was going into shock.

On the way to the hospital my dad kept slapping me to keep me awake but I told him just let me sleep..

Crazy shit is I missed all tendons, nerves, veins etc it was a clean cut to the bone..
