They hit and it spreads their internal organs out, and sometimes they stay inside them. That gives them a very strange appearance. Some of her internal organs were trying to come out though, you can see it in that one picture. Click the picture and it will be a bit bigger.

The picture of the body on the ground looks bigger than the woman on the ledge, who looks likes she just stepped out to make a call and have a smoke.

I can't even say for sure that I think the bigger body is a woman.
