Almost watched a guy in Santa Barbara Calif get killed be a semi that way. The lights that used to be on hwy101 were going to red to let people cross but a semi had just made one of the lights and was heading down the road at speed and everyone saw it except this one guy and he kept on walking and his girlfriend grabbed him back by the shoulder he would have been toast!

I know a girl who tried to commit suicide by going onto a highway at night. The police saw her walking and breaking curfew, so they brought her home.
