Torture ~Falaka Beating~
Torture is not uncommon practice in some police stations in the underdeveloped states. The purpose is to soften the accused and get a quick confession. Falaka beating is also a traditional method of torture. The feet are held high up on a chair or a desk or by tying to a stick. The policeman starts beating the victim's soles by a stick or a baton. Rarely,the beating involve the dorsum of the feet as shown in the third picture. Click the images |

Well i assume this is a dead guy (looks like a morgue table) and his feet were sliced open for demonstration and research. To show the internal damage. That is assuming that it's the same guy in all three pics, which i think it is.
