Alas...no one believed her. Most of the friends who commented on her post clicked Like or laughing emoji, assuming it was all a tongue-in-cheek remark. The post basically read "RIP to me. Don't miss my funeral and please bring incense!"

She was apparently depressed about a recent breakup, however, and was not joking at all. Shortly after she made the post, she went into her bedroom and rigged some clothing together with a nylon rope and an electrical cord to form a makeshift noose. She then climbed onto a stool at the foot of her bed and kicked it free.

Apparently, her mother heard the stool but did not investigate immediately. Shortly thereafter, she heard her daughter choking and bang against the wall as she danced and spun on the noose. The mother ran in and dialed the rescue workers while trying to get her daughter down.

Unfortunately, the girl had already been hanging for more than a minute. Further, she was limp, dead weight and her mother could not get her removed from the noose due to the pressure of her body bearing downward. So she tried to prop her up and relieve pressure on the noose while waiting for the rescue team.

The rescue workers arrived fairly quickly and lifted her out of the noose. Her heart had already stopped, but it had only been a few minutes, so they managed to resuscitate her, but only briefly and she was pronounced dead while being loaded into the ambulance.

It is unlikely she had any meaningful brain function left at all and they likely only went through the motions because the mother was there. As you can see in some of the photos, her hands were already clenched and arms elevated, as we have seen in hanging videos and photos. Her toes are also pointed sharply downward, indicating spasm there, as well.

Chances are her life was essentially over within a minute of kicking the stool. Unfortunately for her, she chose the rather painful 'short drop' strangulation method of suicide rather than the partial suspension kneeling we see here so often, which tends to be very quick and no more painful than a 'sleeper hold.' It is very unlikely that her death was painless or peaceful.

On the bright side, her funeral had a large turnout. Many of her friends were devastated that they had misinterpreted her remarks as a joke. The final photo is from her memorial service.

I don't usually watermark my images, but these are discretely marked because several of the images are essentially exclusive to this site. I obtained them privately from a rescue worker after many hours of research and communication through a Thai friend of mine. First time I've seen CPR on a hanger. Must have been fresh when they found her. Still, pretty much a waste of time.

The funeral benefits the living only, IMHO. If you believe in an afterlife, she may have been there to witness it.

A breakup is not a reason to off yourself. Maybe a one in a billion reason I could understand---but what is that, eight people, then? These young ones are new to the planet and so sensitive at this age, especially about love or what passes for it. Every generation must learn anew.

She was so beautiful I hope she's in a better place now. Although I do remember even at my own most suicidal the idea of pissing or defecating myself wasn't that bad of a deterrent for me. Embarrassing, but once you're dead I guess it doesn't matter!
