A loved one of mine was beaten into a coma by teenage thugs 10 years ago - totally unprovoked, just for "fun." The fuckers actually took turns jumping on his head after he was unconscious. I have never seen any images of the condition he was in, but I know it was VERY similar to this (but more damage to the bones of the face than the skull, thank god, so he survived and slowly recovered - relearning to eat, walk, talk - but is now a recluse who still struggles with his brain injury every day). Watching this was extremely difficult for me...all I could think of was him in this exact situation, and the agony, horror, confusion and utter aloneness he suffered that night before he was finally found. Rest in peace, poor girl...
