Teen Fails the Train Dodge with Fatal Consquences
15 year old girl was walking her motorbike across the train tracks and was 'startled' (in the words of her friend and witness to the accident) when the train came around the nearby bend. The friend got his bike off of the tracks but for reasons that were unclear, this one didn't make it. She died rather awkwardly, but she has the distinction of getting in just under the wire for the 2014 Darwin Awards.

I've seen train fatalities who had to be scooped up with shovels. Aside from the split shin, this one looks almost like she just fell over on the bike and died. Probably trauma we can't see from the images.  But I do agree, she's largely intact. Perhaps the train saw her and got a chance to slow itself dramatically before impact?

bet she tried to push the, too heavy for her, motorcycle over the rail out of the path of the oncoming train but lost balance and paid the price for her stupidity.
