Don't they have laws and regulations about grave depth, and anti-flooding measures? That would seem like a necessity to keep corpses from becoming a public health risk during floods.
City cemeteries require extra steps to combat similar problems, but smaller ones out in the county do not. I think family members dug that particular grave, because I don't leave them like that.

Throw more dirt in that hole

Why dont they dig maybe an extra foot down, and line the bottom with small gravel and rocks and some sand, could that collect the extra water more efficiently? Im not an engineer, not have the capacity to just have the answers
I think they might have been hitting the shine a bit much that day, or smoking some either real good shit, or some real bad shit, either way, they need to do the opposite !
