For all I know, the "backstory" I read could've been fabricated. But either way, it's pretty blatantly obvious that this man wanted out. Out of this world, I mean.

When I was a 911 Dispatcher there was a younger girl, perhaps in her late teens/early 20's who died this way. She just laid down with her neck on the tracks and waited for the train.

The town had one way in and out, across two sets of tracks. It was quite an interesting day for that PD, Town and anyone riding that train.

The train that hit her was one that carried people and made multiple stops from NW IN to Chicago.

I can't imagine lying there, just waiting for it to happen.

I've always thought, Killing yourself by train has got to take some balls.

First you have to wait until the fucking train comes, Then you have to lay there for at least a minute while the horn blares and thoughts race though your mind on if this is the right choice or not, Then you have to have the balls to keep your neck there until it cuts your head off.


It's not like just picking up a pistol and shooting yourself on impulse, Shit...Even hanging yourself is quicker.
