Siem Reap 2019 - Norwegian Tourist, 28, Found Dead of Overdose on Birthday
On May 6, 2019, his birthday, a cleaner discovered a 28-year-old Norwegian tourist lying dead in bed in a guesthouse room in Siem Reap, Cambodia, at about one in the afternoon. He had entered the country on April 30. Beside him, a table held boxes of various medication, syringes and inhalers, including a box of pregabalin. Specialist police inspected the room, while an autopsy attributed his death to an overdose of medication. No third party was involved, and no crime was alleged. There are two important uncertainties. Only the discovery date was reported, not the date of death. Several commenters argued, based on the body's condition, that he had already been dead for some days; if correct, he died before his birthday rather than on it. The account originated solely from one Cambodian English-language outlet and its own forum, with no independent coverage anywhere. For that reason, he is not named.

He didn't last long over there, barely a week and he overdosed! He's just beginning to get into the really disgusting stage of decomp... Probably pretty ripe as well.

Since the cost of returning these deceased bodies back to the States & EU must be prohibited costly, a burial grounds for these drug abused decomposed westerners would be a good business in Cambodia. Wrap the body in a shroud, dig a hole and everybody is happy.

Judging by all those meds, insulin included, it looks like he had a myriad of health conditions. Not exactly conducive to a drug-fueled vacation.

Nice thread. Here are a few others photos of K.N. According to the article, his body was found at 1 PM by a hotel cleaner on his birthday, May 6. Based on the state of decomposition, I think he died before his birthday and made it to the 27 Club. There were probably people sending him messages; wishing him a happy birthday, unaware that he had passed.  ·  ·  ·  · |

The smell! Once we got dispatched to a smell coming from an 18 wheeler in a truck stop parking lot in June. They told us the truck had been there 8 days and not running. It was stupid hot 95 plus for a few days. We went to the truck and the windows was black like the curtain used to block sunlight. Open the door and the black left, it was millions of flys on the windows. That's the worst smell and worst call I ever ran in my life.  |
