It looks like it may have been there long enough for the blood to drain down the wall. The wall could be the right colour to hide any stains. Or he could have been moved, there does not seem to be enough blood on the fabrics surrounding him.

Either way, I love the picture , but if I ever do that, I would make sure I didn't do it on such gaudy, kooky looking fabrics
