In the morning of Monday 26th February, this year, mother of 5, Margaret Ragoobar Guevarra, a teacher, aged 42, was found dead by her 16 year old daughter. The girl had heard gunshots + her mother's screams. The door to Margaret's bedroom was locked, so the girl had used the spare key + was met with the sight of her mother dead on the floor + her father with a gunshot wound to his head. The girl's screams had alerted neighbours, who called the police. The man, aged 44, who had been married to Margaret for 23 years, has been taken to Sangre Grande Hospital (Trinidad + Tobago) where he remains in critical condition. Margaret's husband was abusive towards her + she used her FaceBook profile to post 'subtle' messages of such.        |
