Removal Of Cat Brain
 Muscle is cleaned off the surface of the skull  First saw cut is across the rear of the occipital bone  Then through the widest part of the cranium  The final series of cuts form an X between the eyes   The brain and skull cap are removed as a unit  The dura mater is still attached  Many features remain attached to the brain, including the cranial nerves, and part of the spinal cord  The now-isolated brain  Posterior view: R & L cerebral hemispheres, longitudinal fissure, R & L cerebellar hemispheres, vermis, dorsal medulla oblongata  Posterior deep view by spreading R&L hemispheres |
