The second picture is a mock-up, part of a series released by Falung Gong highlighting and dramatising their treatment at the hands of Chinese security forces. The rest of the series is lurking somewhere around here on DR, they're quite well done and reasonably comprehensive in terms of the usual suspects in such situations (cattle prods, foot beating, strappado etc).
