18 year old girl had just enrolled in nursing school, but was found hanging in her bedroom. Romantic drama was cited as the cause and she'd left suicide notes for her parents and for the boyfriend who had just dumped her.

She was discovered after just a few hours, having hung herself while her parents were both out working.

As is often the case with suicide scenes in Indonesia, the DSI reports are fairly detailed when released to the press:

The investigator's report noted that the deceased was wearing a white shirt and denim shorts.
Rigor had begun, but was not yet fixed.
Lividity was vaguely apparent in her legs and hands, but was also not yet fixed.
Her tongue was swollen and clenched between her teeth, with the tip already exhibiting drying artifact (turning black).
Her shorts and underpants were soaked with urine. Urine was also puddled on the floor beneath her. Additionally, she lost control of her bowels during the agony of strangulation and the presence of feces was noted on her buttocks and in her drawers.

All of these factors being classic symptoms in a suicidal hanging (combined with the notes), the medical examiner's initial ruling is suicide by asphyxiation. The family accepted this assertion and no autopsy will be performed.

Selfishness doesn't come in to it. Anyone who commits suicide is not at the point of rational thinking. They think people would be better off without them.

But it is still a selfish act as it can destroy other peoples lifes.

You are welcome and encouraged to make whatever comments you wish about the specific photos or the incidents occurring in them, but please leave the ethical debate for the appropriate forum. This issue is brought up (often with mounting acrimony) in more than 50% of all suicide threads here and it really adds very little other than vitriol to the surroundings.
