When the news first broke, I read that the husband was looking for his wife, heard her "struggling" (or something like that), and when he went into the room, she screamed for help and said the guy was raping her. He attacked him thinking the wife was being attacked. At the time, she said she hadn't ever met him. The daughter met him a short time before the incident and invited him to her birthday party which is why he was at the house. Now that it's come out that the wife *did* know him and wasn't attacked, I'm sure the husband regrets the viciousness of his reaction. Nonetheless... bitches crying rape to avoid the consequences of their actions needs to stop.

Yes, the sequence of events has changed a number of times. Apparently the daughter had known Daniel for a year + he had attended her 18th birthday party (I've read a few times that it's the reason he was with her family).

Entrepreneur Edison Brittes Junior, 38, appeared to be so blinded by rage at the killing of Daniel Corrêa Freitas on Oct. 27 that he barely finished pulling the player out of the trunk of the car and was' his neck. Daniel still had his legs in the trunk (and the body out, held by Edison), when he took the first cut on his neck. At least this is the version declared by Eduardo Ribeiro da Silva, 19 years old, this morning (12), at the São José dos Pinhais police station, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba.

This is the first time that details of the death are revealed, since Eduardo's statement differs from the others involved in the crime, Ygor David (known as Ygor King) and David Willian Vileroy da Silva, who stated that they had not even left the car at the time in which Edison killed Daniel.

In his statement, Eduardo says that he had been sleeping in the bedroom for a while with his girlfriend Taís (they were the first in the house to go to sleep and that except for him, Taís and Mineiro were all very drunk), when Cristiana entered and asked for help for him. She would ask "help the prank, that Junior (Edison) is hitting on him, because he was stirring me, and does not let the Junior beat him." Eduardo said that the door to Cristiana and Edison's room was open (he did not notice if it was broken into) and when he came in he witnessed Ygor, David and Edison attacking Daniel. Edison held the player with a lion's cut. Daniel was heavily bruised, bleeding, and said nothing.

In Eduardo's version, the four men soon led Daniel out of the house, where the player continued to be assaulted. The player's underwear was taken and he was only in his T-shirt when Edison said that "Talarico has to be hooded, that skunk." After retreating into the family's Veloster, Edison summoned Eduardo, Ygor and David to help secure the player during the raid. According to Eduardo, Edison found a knife in the kitchen and put the player in the trunk. He put it "anyway", as when closing, the lid hit Daniel's legs. Then Ygor threw his legs in and finished closing the trunk. The four of them boarded the car voluntarily and left. Eduardo said they knew of Edison's intention to cut the player's penis but said that if he knew the intention was to kill him, he would not have boarded the car.

Eduardo also said in the testimony that when he was in the trunk, Daniel tried to babble some incomprehensible words and get up. Then he would carry elbows of Ygor, who was in the backseat with Eduardo. As Edison drove to a place no one knew where it was, he would look at the player's cell phone. At one point, the businessman became more serious looking at the messages exchanged by Daniel and began to say that he was going to "cover the guy". Maybe he saw the pictures Daniel took with Cristiana on the bed, telling his friends that he had sex with her.

On a dirt road, near a pine plantation, everyone got out of the car. Edison opened the trunk, pulled out his own T-shirt, and tried to get Daniel out of the car, pulling him through the hair. As he slipped, he held Daniel by the T-shirt and the player fell over the manager. Daniel's legs were still in the trunk as Edison took the knife and cut Daniel's neck for the first time. It was when Daniel fell flat on the floor, trying to scream, and Edison continued to cut the player, banging the knife on his neck. Eduardo reports that he still heard Daniel's noises, as if he were a pig being killed. At this moment, David was ill.

Daniel was already unresponsive, perhaps dead, when Edison dragged the player down the arms of the road behind a tree and some bushes in the bush. This he would have done alone, while Eduardo, David and Ygor were behind the car. He says he saw Edison crouched, making repeated movements, as if cutting something, and believes that this is the moment when the businessman cut the player's penis, although he did not see directly the act. Eduardo could not tell where the businessman played the genital organ of the player.

Edison went back to the bloody car, with his knife in his hand and saying "I did shit, but it will not give you anything, that's what I did." At this point in his testimony, Eduardo emphasized that no one was threatened by Edison and that everyone was there of their own free will, knowing in advance that Daniel would be mutilated.

On the way back, Edison stopped at a gas station and asked David to get some water. Then they stopped in front of a clothing store, where David got money from Edison and bought a tank top and shorts. They went to a stream where Edison wiped his blood, changed his clothes, and threw the knife and bloody clothing into the creek. Eduardo does not know what was done on Daniel's cell phone, which Edison looked in the car. He also does not know how the businessman did to open the phone, since he did not see Edison ask the unlock password to the player.

When they returned to the Brittes family house, the rest of the guests were gone. There were only Cristiana, Allana, Evelin (who is friends with Allana and Daniel with the ballad) and Taís, Eduardo's girlfriend, who did not see anything that happened because he was still sleeping. Those involved in the crime had their clothes all spattered with blood, even from the moment of the aggressions. Then Edison called his daughter and his wife and told them that he had killed Daniel. Evelin, Ygor and David listened to the conversation.

As lunchtime approached, Evelin prepared a stroganoff. Eduardo said that he did not eat anything and that, all Saturday, he did not talk to anyone about it. Cristiana, according to Eduardo, seemed to be in shock and did not even enter her room. Edison did not talk about it either. I think that they've made up too many lies to remember what they've said so it's just easier to go with the truth.

I don't know how it works in Brazil but if he admits the murder, doesn't he get a shorter sentence?

Also, this is such a high-profile case, so I think that the family want to get it 'over + done' with as quick as possible.
