Re: President Marcos
How can he be the best president when thousands of people (students, activists, media people etc.) went missing, never to be seen again, during his term? He had good projects alright, but he suppressed a lot of our people's rights and stole from the national budget. Anyone who stood in their way will either be accused of being an enemy of the state or have their families and themselves killed by the military. The Marcoses and their cronies grabbed any flourishing business and kept it for themselves. Imelda Marcos had 3000 pairs of shoes, designer clothes and estate jewelry(which looked like it belonged to a queen) at a time when a lot of Filipinos were starving while fighting for basic rights. He died many years ago but his family continues to live lavishly even to this day. And the Marcoses feel he deserves to be buried in the heroes cemetery?! Puh-leeeeease!!! Boooooo!!!! The Marcos regime was one of our country's darkest times! |

Re: President Marcos
His tomb was in Hawaii not sure if it still is. I use to goto the same cemetery to visit family when I was a kid and one of the grounds keepers told us that his wife use to go in and change his clothes and hold him. Talk about creepy lol.
