Many symbols that once held positive or neutral meaning hundreds, even thousands of years ago, have been taken and used for negative or "evil" things. Now, because someone had to go and use it for something awful, they have fucked it up for the rest of humanity.  Swastika, Ankh, Pentagram, Ouroboros, Eye of Horus, Black Sun, Baphomet, and of course, the upside down cross. Referred to as "St. Peter's Cross" who was crucified upside down as he didn't feel himself worthy of crucifixion in the same way as Jesus. It used to be a symbol of humility and martyrdom.

You need to check your source. The $16 million is 1. His salary of $32 thousand a month that he never accepted, he donated it. 2. The home in which he lived 3. The cars at his disposal. So all of that money was only his as Pope. The next Pope gets the house, the cars and the $32 thousand a month. BTW, Pope Francis asked that any money that may be left from his salary be donated. I'm no fan of Religion, but the truth is, his net worth is $100 |
