It's the Sharia laws that allow the rage-filled over entitled psychos a free pass to kill women, not so much Islam itself. The Turks are mostly Islamic but their laws are by and large secular. We sure don't hear of Turkish men killing women that reject them.

Did you seriously just try to tell me that Sharia law is ‘by and large secular’? lol. Islam is what makes the imposition of Sharia law into a religious imperative, so you don’t get to divorce it from its own effects. I also don’t think you want to make Turkey your poster child, having recently withdrawn from the Istanbul Convention. It’s also not really helping your point, being a high point in the Islam-practicing world it’s more the exception rather than the rule and only managing to do so after a more than 100 year turn toward secularism and away from Islamic rule.
