I would think that there would be a high risk of infection leaving the skull exposed like that.

It looks like Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria). The tube in his eye is a fluid drain, the one in his nose is a NG tube (goes to his stomach). I definately don't want to be sitting across from him at the dinner table.

Why would you keep people who are injured like this alive by for example the tube to the stomach? The poor guy must suffer from a lot of pain..

He should be a candidate for assisted suicide IMO. I can't imagine anybody wanting to live like that. Maybe, he feels lucky to be alive but it isn't likely. I wonder what the story is on him.?
