It's REinforcing BAR (aka Rebar), and from the looks of it, pretty big stuff. This size Rebar would be used in buildings or bridge building. If he got hurt on the job, it'd probably be from falling onto the rebar from an elevation. If you look at a job site in the U.S., rebar that can impale someone has caps placed on it so that it won't penetrate the person if they should fall on it. Wow, that worker was lucky though. |

Guardian angel, my ass. More like amazing medical team, both on the scene, and the surgeons! The first responders had a time of getting him to the hospital without doing more damage than good- and then the surgeons, keeping him from bleeding out when they removed it. Fucking rockstars! |
