Are you serious? I am not one to take unsubstantiated allegations as fact but this person was obviously guilty of something heinous. I can not think of any other reason why an individual would shoot up their own home and possessions, then kill themselves when LEOs showed up. The one fact that I can gather from this is that this guy had some serious mental issues, whether the issues or actions were projected outward are debateable. They most definitely were projected inward.

The police went to insure the safety and welfare of your family after your dad had been alerted earlier that he was caught assaulting your sister........ This holds zero water. The police would be coming to the home to arrest him or at minimum detain him for questioning. So where is your fill story there?
See police will do a welfare escorts but they do them during domestic disputes not during molestation and rape investigations. Police remove the threat they don't make a habit of removing victims.

Woah. Wow. I am so sorry for what you, your sister, your family have and are going through. Look to the future with hope, now that this man is in your past. Look after yourselves though through these coming weeks, the trauma and stress may take a lot more out of you than you realise.
